The gold-sputtered capsule for sE Electronics' sE8 small-diaphragm true condenser mic is handcrafted in the company's own clean room. When compared to comparable small-capsule condensers in its price range, the capsule's revolutionary backplate design produces a sublimely detailed, balanced sound with superior transient response. Sweet and silky smooth on the high end. Add high-frequency EQ if you want; it won't add harshness or distort the transients. The sE8's short, efficient signal path is fundamental to the mic's amazingly natural performance in capturing acoustic instruments like guitar, piano, strings, woodwinds, and percussion without the use of ICs or transformers.
sE didn't just create a great-sounding microphone; they also included features not even found on much more expensive small-diaphragm microphones! A highpass filter, switchable between 80Hz and 160Hz, removes unwanted mud and rumble, and 10dB and 20dB attenuation pads expand the mic's impressive usefulness by allowing you to mic more raucous sources such as toms, snares, and electric guitar. The sE8's class-leading SPL handling and dynamic range ensure that you capture every nuance of these sources without fear of overload.
As with all of our factory-matched pairs, every mic ending up in a sE8 Stereo Pair configuration is hand-selected from hundreds of individual microphones.
This ensures identical performance and the highest possible mic-to-mic consistency, so you can rest assured that your stereo image will be as clear & accurate as possible.

At Sky Music we are committed in offering the best prices in Australia. That is why on top of our Best Price Guarantee, we offer free shipping on most orders over $199.
Orders that may incur a shipping surcharge:
- Large and Heavy items (Large Amps and Cabinets, Pianos, Drum Kits)
- Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you.

- Delivery Time
Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.

Returns Procedure

To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
- 30-Day Returns Policy
Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. Please see the full policy for conditions, exemptions and procedures. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
