Released in June 2011, The SRS series of guitars marked the beginning of a new era at Maton. A move towards all Solid timbers for everything in the range, a complete overhaul, and a re-imagining of bracing patterns, radius tops, and improved body construction. The culmination of years of development and fine-tuning by Maton's senior luthiers and production designers.
Some things didn’t change though, the famous dovetail join, usually reserved in guitar building for the most expensive of instruments is used in the construction of all Maton Guitars, and of course, every instrument is handmade in Melbourne Australia.
The Solid Road Series features Tasmanian Blackwood or Queensland maple back and sides, Sitka Spruce top, scalloped bracing, and Queensland Maple neck complemented by a Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
After 10 Years on the Maton Solid Road Series Guitars have become a go-to for musicians around the world. You can find them on stage with the likes of The Offspring, Peter Frampton and the Roger Waters band, as well as open mic nights at your favourite local venue

At Sky Music we are committed in offering the best prices in Australia. That is why on top of our Best Price Guarantee, we offer free shipping on most orders over $199.
Orders that may incur a shipping surcharge:
- Large and Heavy items (Large Amps and Cabinets, Pianos, Drum Kits)
- Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you.

- Delivery Time
Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.

Returns Procedure

To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
- 30-Day Returns Policy
Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. Please see the full policy for conditions, exemptions and procedures. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
