This 30th Anniversary project is a tribute to three decades of uncompromising dedication to craftsmanship. We salute our craftsmen and the drummers who support and motivate us to explore limitless drum design possibilities in our pursuit of producing the ultimate acoustic experience.
To mark their 30th anniversary this year, Mapex is releasing 300 limited edition drum sets and 600 limited edition snare drums. The all-maple limited edition drum sets are modeled after the classic Mapex Orion drum set of the 90s, but with modern touches. The limited edition snare drums are a tribute to the Deep Forest walnut snare drum of the 90s and emanate a rich, dark tone.

The MAPEX 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Drum Kit inherits the spirit of the “Orion Classic” series drum kit, the most representative sound of MAPEX drums in the 90s. This special anniversary drum kit is an all-maple kit, made of 100% North American Maple wood like those found in the original Orion Classic series. The sound characteristics of these classic drum shells provide Warmth, Presence, and Projection while the more modern features developed through the Mapex Design Lab enables the drum kit to produce an even warmer sound with minimum vibration transfer and maximum resonance, accommodating the most demanding player.

Orders that may incur a shipping surcharge:
- Large and Heavy items (Large Amps and Cabinets, Pianos, Drum Kits)
- Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you. Please feel free to contact us prior to checkout for more information.
Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.
Tracking Your Order Tracking details will be emailed to you as soon as your order has been processed for shipping. If you are having trouble tracking your order, please feel free to contact us for assistance!
Returns Procedure
- Read the full Returns Policy HERE To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. Please see the full policy for conditions, exemptions and procedures. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
