With its continued popularity, Ibanez is constantly endeavoring to answer the wider needs of a variety of players, at a variety of budgets. But no matter what the specs, the heart is the same-SR continues to excite with its smooth, fast neck, lightweight body, and perfectly matched electronics.
For more than 40 years, Ibanez has pioneered new frontiers in bass development, pushing the boundaries of conventional designs to bass players of all styles, affording new avenues of expression and creativity. This spirit of exploration has led to the creation of some of the most successful and popular production basses of all time. Following this same drive to bring new and relevant ideas to the musical forefront is what serves as the basis for this ongoing project, dubbed the Ibanez Bass Workshop. The impetus behind each one of these unique instruments comes from a desire by the Ibanez bass development team to satisfy the particular needs of many players. These inventions may not be for everyone, but for those who yearn to explore new sonic vistas through the medium of bass: The Ibanez Bass Workshop project may give you just what you're looking for.
The Ibanez SRAS7 features a 7-piece Maple/Walnut/Bubinga neck that is extremely stable. It transmits the string vibration to the body well and stays in tune when played with firm intonation. The Rosewood fretted fretboard provides a well-balanced solid tone with a focused mid range and the fretless Bubinga fretboard offers tight-low and edgy-mid sound. A stunning Poplar Burl/Ash top with an Okoume body provides bright and solid tones with rich sustain. The SRAS Super J pickups provide a clear, bright and rich dynamic tone. AeroSilk piezo pickup enhances an acoustic and wooden sound of similar to an upright bass. The EQ section incorporates the controls of the magnetic pickup(s) with the AeroSilk Piezo system. Controls include a Master volume, bass and treble controls for the pickup(s) and a Master volume and a tone control for the Piezo system.
The Mono-Rail V is the ultimate bridge for bass string isolation. Each bridge is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer without interference. The AeroSilk MR5 bridge has unique saddles which were specifically-designed to work in concert with the piezo pickups, enhancing the acoustic ”Upright” quality of the tone. Various tonal possibilities provided by the 3-way selection of pickup options magnetic, piezo or a mix of both will inspire your musical creativity and curiosity.
The detachable finger rest offers two options; placing your thumb near the fretboard outline or in an upper location.

Orders that may incur a shipping surcharge:
- Large and Heavy items (Large Amps and Cabinets, Pianos, Drum Kits)
- Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you. Please feel free to contact us prior to checkout for more information.
Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.

Returns Procedure
- Read the full Returns Policy HERE To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. Please see the full policy for conditions, exemptions and procedures. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
