Signature Tube Logic Sound and New Amp Characters
At the heart of the Katana-50 EX Gen 3 is BOSS’s advanced Tube Logic architecture, which meticulously recreates the complex dynamics of a tube amp at a component level. This generation introduces a new “Pushed” amp character alongside the classic Clean, Crunch, Lead, Brown, and Acoustic voices, each with selectable variations that provide 12 unique tones to suit any style. Whether you crave the warm, harmonic saturation of a cranked tube amp or sparkling cleans, this amp delivers.
Enhanced Speaker and Power Control for Stage Performance
Compared to the standard 50-watt Katana, the EX version boasts a custom 12-inch Boss speaker optimized for greater projection and resonance on stage. The reactive Class AB power section maintains rich tube-like responsiveness even at high volumes, while integrated Power Control allows you to dial in cranked amp tone and feel at lower output levels—ideal for bedroom practice or small gigs without sacrificing tone.
Robust Effects and Deep Customization
Five simultaneous effects sections — Booster, Modulation, FX, Delay, and Reverb — are loaded with essential BOSS effects, plus three variations each for 15 distinct options. The BOSS Tone Studio software (Windows/macOS) unlocks over 60 additional effects, letting you customize parameters, reorder effects, and save your favorite presets remotely via USB or Bluetooth® (with the optional BT-Dual Adaptor). The updated Tone Studio interface is faster, more intuitive, and offers graphic customization for seamless tone crafting.

Orders that may incur a shipping surcharge:
- Large and Heavy items (Large Amps and Cabinets, Pianos, Drum Kits)
- Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you. Please feel free to contact us prior to checkout for more information.
Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.
Tracking Your Order Tracking details will be emailed to you as soon as your order has been processed for shipping. If you are having trouble tracking your order, please feel free to contact us for assistance!
Returns Procedure
- Read the full Returns Policy HERE To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
