Yamaha has once again raised the bar with the Stage Custom, introduced in 1995. This drum kit features a range of new and upgraded components that deliver unmatched value and sound quality.
One of the standout features of the Stage Custom is its 100% birch shell, a classic material that has long been favored by high-end drum manufacturers. This six-ply shell is designed to accurately transmit the vibrations produced at the impact surface, resulting in a clear and responsive sound.
The Stage Custom also features a triple-flange steel hoop that can be used in any situation to produce an open and dynamic sound. Additionally, the snare drum includes a unique R1, 45° bearing edge that is specifically designed to produce a sharp and responsive tone. Yamaha has spent over 40 years developing a range of bearing edge designs that offer different tonal characteristics and depths.
The snare bed is another crucial component of the Stage Custom, with a standard depth of 1.8mm that ensures optimal snare effectiveness. The strainer system includes both B type (Release) and P type (Butt) options, allowing for fine-tuned control over the snare sound.
Finally, the high-tension one-piece lugs on the Stage Custom are designed to handle even the most extreme head tensions, ensuring consistent sound quality and performance. - Large and Heavy items (Large Amps and Cabinets, Pianos, Drum Kits)
- Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you. Please feel free to contact us prior to checkout for more information.
Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.

Returns Procedure
- Read the full Returns Policy HERE To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. Please see the full policy for conditions, exemptions and procedures. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
