Austin is passionate about helping players find exactly the right guitar,
and he loves the process of speccing and inspiring ground-up custom builds that
bring dream instruments to life. In March 2026 he travelled to Corona to meet
the Fender Custom Shop Master Builders first-hand, gaining a deep understanding
of their processes and just how far their creativity can be pushed on truly
unique builds.

Austin started playing guitar at age 10 and performed in a soul and rock
band through school, even travelling to Singapore in Year 9 to teach. While
he's the first to admit his playing has plateaued since then, his knowledge of
premium and custom instruments runs deep.

Off the clock, Austin's a fan of Soundgarden, Silverchair, Dire Straits,
and Alice in Chains, with plenty of love for Dave Matthews Band, Bryan Adams,

Alex is an upright and electric bassist who completed his Bachelor of
Music at the University of Auckland, majoring in jazz performance. He has
played across jazz, funk, classical orchestral, and concert band settings on
upright bass, electric bass, electric guitar, and saxophone.

Having shared the stage with acclaimed artists including Busty and the
Bass, Troy Roberts, Roger Manins, Kevin Field, and Jeff Henderson, Alex brings
genuine depth across electric guitars and basses, classical stringed
instruments, and woodwind and brass.

Rory is an experienced musician with a background spanning music
teaching, live performance, and music technology. A graduate of Monash
University, he received the University Medal for Undergraduate Academic
Excellence and the Ernst Morawetz Prize for his honours thesis on digital
musical instrument design.
