The Yamaha AvantGrand N1X Hybrid Digital Grand Piano in Polished Ebony is available now at Sky Music Australia. Combining the expressive touch and elegant cabinet lines of a traditional acoustic grand piano with state-of-the-art digital technology, the N1X offers an authentic playing experience in a streamlined modern profile.
At the heart of the AvantGrand N1X is Yamaha's Specialized Grand Piano Action, featuring real wooden keys with acrylic resin white keytops and phenolic resin black keytops. Beneath the keys, a non-contact optical fiber sensor system captures every nuance of key depth and velocity alongside hammer shank speed without interfering with key touch. The N1X offers two world-class concert grand voices: the powerful, sparkling Yamaha CFX and the rich, sonorous Bösendorfer Imperial. Enhanced by Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), the sound engine accurately reproduces the complex sympathetic string and body vibrations of an acoustic grand, while binaural sampling technology delivers a fully immersive, natural soundstage through headphones.
Designed for uncompromising sound projection, the N1X incorporates a Spatial Acoustic Speaker System featuring a 3-way configuration with six dedicated amplifiers (30W x 6). The pedal system utilizes Yamaha's GP Response Damper Pedal to recreate the progressive physical resistance and half-pedaling nuance of an acoustic grand. Modern digital integration includes Bluetooth audio receiver capabilities, USB Audio Recording directly to a flash drive in WAV format, MIDI In/Out, USB to Host/Device, and seamless compatibility with Yamaha's Smart Pianist iOS app.
