As a modern take on the iconic Tone Bender mk1.5, the VFZ-1 retains the highly sought after tonal and dynamic characters of a vintage germanium fuzz, while adding modern features for today’s guitarists. A BASS CUT and TONE CUT have been added to the signal so the VFZ-1 can be used to sound great on any amp or guitar. In addition, Vox added a CRUNCH switch that can produce the sound when the guitar's knob is slightly turned down. This allows you to create a brilliant crunch tone regardless of the guitar's volume.
The VFZ-1 also takes advantage of the modern components used in the circuitry. By using modern thin-film chip resistors, we have achieved even lower noise than with vintage carbon composite resistors. The world’s first distortion effect. In the 1950s, “distorted” guitar sounds were produced by equipment malfunctions or overdriven inputs, which later inspired the intentional creation of fuzz pedals. Used in countless iconic performances, fuzz became a central element of the British rock sound and, following the resurgence of alternative rock and grunge, has remained a staple pedal among players across a wide range of genres.

Orders that may incur a shipping surcharge:
- Large and Heavy items (Large Amps and Cabinets, Pianos, Drum Kits)
- Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you. Please feel free to contact us prior to checkout for more information.
Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.

Returns Procedure
- Read the full Returns Policy HERE To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. Please see the full policy for conditions, exemptions and procedures. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
