Designed specifically for kick drums, bass cabinets, synth amps, and other low-frequency instruments, the SD-5 combines a supercardioid dynamic capsule with Universal Audio's Hemisphere microphone modeling technology to give you five iconic kick drum microphone sounds in a single, rugged microphone.
The SD-5 features a hand-selected dynamic capsule capable of handling extreme SPL, making it ready for the demands of kick drums and high-output bass sources. Its supercardioid polar pattern provides focused pickup and helps minimise unwanted bleed, while the compact design makes it easy to position exactly where you need it.
Included Hemisphere microphone modeling technology expands the SD-5 into a versatile virtual microphone locker. Five modeled microphones give you a range of classic low-frequency tones, from balanced kick drum sounds and deep, contoured bass to extended sub-frequency weight. The Hemisphere models include the DN-12A, DN-112, DN-6, DN-52, and DN-SUB.
Hemisphere also provides proximity, axis, and filter controls for detailed tonal shaping. Proximity lets you virtually adjust the microphone's distance from the source, while axis control changes the virtual microphone angle to help manage unwanted frequencies. Best of all, these controls can be adjusted even after tracking, giving you greater flexibility when mixing without needing to physically reposition the microphone or re-record the performance.
Built for regular professional use, the SD-5 features rugged all-metal construction and a classic vintage-inspired aesthetic. Its standmount with angle adjustment makes placement straightforward, while the included storage pouch helps protect the microphone between sessions. - Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.

Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.

Returns Procedure
- Read the full Returns Policy HERE To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
