The Thomastik-Infeld Infeld Blue IB04 (DTIB04) violin G-string provides a clear, resonant low end with exceptional dynamic control and projection. Engineered as part of the Infeld Blue system, this string emphasizes brilliant upper harmonics while maintaining the rich, full foundation expected of a professional G-string, blending seamlessly across the entire instrument.
Featuring an advanced synthetic composite core wound with pure silver, the IB04 offers fast bow articulation, dependable climate stability, and rapid pitch settling. It is fitted with a nickel ball end accented by yellow silk winding at the tailpiece end and is finished with distinctive blue silk winding at the peg end to denote the Infeld Blue series.
Calibrated in medium gauge for full-size 4/4 violins with a standard vibrating string length of 32.5 cm (12.8"), the IB04 operates at a tension of 4.6 kg (10.1 lb), delivering an even touch and smooth left-hand comfort under high performance demands.
