The Thomastik-Infeld Infeld Blue IB02 (DTIB02) violin A-string delivers a clear, open, and brilliant tone with exceptional projection and bow response. Formulated as a cornerstone of the Infeld Blue tonal system, this string emphasizes upper harmonics and clarity while maintaining a warm, resonant composite core body.
Built with an advanced synthetic composite core wound in durable hydronalium, the IB02 offers quick break-in time, outstanding pitch stability under changing climate conditions, and a comfortable left-hand feel. It is terminated with a brass ball end and color-coded with blue silk winding at both the tailpiece and peg ends for effortless identification.
Calibrated in medium gauge for full-size 4/4 violins with a standard vibrating string length of 32.5 cm (12.8"), the IB02 provides a balanced playing tension of 5.5 kg (12.1 lb), creating a seamless transition between the treble E-string and the lower registers.
