The Thomastik 3885.2W Spirocore Orchestra Bass G String is designed for 3/4 double bass and features the distinctive Spirocore spiral rope core construction. Its focused tonal character, clear top end and powerful bottom make it suitable for a wide range of playing styles and instruments.
Spirocore strings are built around a high-twist spiral rope core that translates impulses from the left hand or bow into an expressive and powerful sound. The chrome-wound construction provides long sustain, growl, punch and projection, together with a broad dynamic range and variety of tonal colours.
This product is supplied as a bulk tube of 12 strings in non-retail packaging. The 3/4 double bass specification has a 104cm vibrating string length, with a usable range from 103cm to 106cm. The source specification identifies the G string as DT3885.2; it does not provide a separate technical specification for the “W” designation.

Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.

Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.

Returns Procedure
- Read the full Returns Policy HERE To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
