Slash is known for some of the best riffs, licks and solos in rock n’ roll. To replicate the ferocious tone he achieved on records for Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, and his solo albums, Slash and Seymour Duncan collaborated to develop his signature pickup sets: the Slash and Slash 2.0 Humbuckers. Historically, these pickups have been available in vintage specs – with long mounting legs, single conductor braided cable, and traditional humbucker spacing. Now, Seymour Duncan is also offering both models with some of our most popular modern options.
When Slash was given the honour of having a Gibson Les Paul Signature model built, Seymour Duncan sent over the same Alnico 2 Pro humbuckers that he has used for decades. Turns out, the new guitars sounded noticeably different than the original. So, Seymour Duncan accepted the challenge to make him a new pickup that would make all of his new signature guitars sound just like the original AFD Les Paul. The result is the Slash Signature Model humbucker.
A different mag wire and winding spec that, when combined with the alnico 2 bar magnet, provided exactly what was needed to push a stock Les Paul toward that familiar sustain, crunch, and midrange that was so characteristic of the tone of Slash’s original Derrig Les Paul copy. The Slash humbuckers are hand built in Santa Barbara the same way Seymour Duncan built his originals in the 80s, with a nickel silver bottom plate with long mounting legs, single conductor braided lead wire, maple spacer, paper tape, and wax potting.
In case you were wondering, yes, the set that you buy is exactly the same as what Slash’s mighty tech, Ace Bergman, installs in Slash’s guitars. When the boss needs some new APH-2s, they pull them right out of production stock. Modern appointments on this pickup set include the Short Ear (SE) mounting legs to fit in a wider variety of guitars and for direct mounting and 4-Conductor cable for coil splitting, series/parallel wiring and phase switching.

Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.

Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.

Returns Procedure

Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
