The Sabian Cymbits O-Zone Chain is a creative percussive effect made from leftover B20 bronze cutouts used in the production of Sabian O-Zone cymbals. The chain features seven small 2" cymbal discs linked together, providing a compact way to add new textures and effects to a drum kit.
When placed on a ride, crash, or hi-hat, the Cymbits O-Zone Chain produces a sizzling, trashy character that can shorten sustain and add a shimmering metallic texture. Its compact design allows the effect to be moved easily around the kit without permanently altering the cymbals.
The chain offers different effects depending on where it is positioned. On a ride it creates a jazzy, short-decaying sizzle, while on a crash it adds a classic trash tone. Used with hi-hats, it produces a jingle effect reminiscent of a tambourine, and attached to a snare drum lug it can create a distorted, lo-fi striking tone.
Made from B20 bronze and small enough to keep in a stick bag, the Cymbits O-Zone Chain is a versatile effects accessory for both studio and live applications, while also making practical use of leftover cymbal material.
