The Sabian 22" HHX Sonic Surge is a thin, fully hand-hammered pang-style cymbal with a dark, low-pitched voice. Played with sticks it delivers explosive accents with a surging sustain, while mallets coax a gradual bloom into a dark wash.
With a wide dynamic range and expressive control, the Sonic Surge is a versatile effects voice that sits well in a wide variety of musical settings – from heavy-hitting rock and metal to more open, atmospheric playing. Available from Sky Music Australia.
