Tradition Turned Personal
The world’s most recognizable guitars are defined by more than tone. Their shape and colors can be just as enduring as their sound. For generations, guitar makers and players have looked to the road for colors that give instruments character and identity.
For this limited-edition Silver Sky, that tradition gets personal. This colorway started with Mayer’s own Arles Blue Defender – a color that felt just as compelling on a guitar as it did on the vehicle that inspired it. From Mayer’s vintage 4x4, a palette of four heritage finishes were chosen: Arles Blue, Willow Green, Portofino Red, and Sandglow Yellow. Some of Defender’s most memorable colorways pair vibrant body colors with a contrasting black or white roof. That signature use of contrast also helped shape the design language of the Defender Color Collection.
This run is limited to just 500 guitars in each color and 2,000 total worldwide, and the color doesn’t stop at the body. Each instrument boasts a matching painted headstock – a distinctive detail reserved for select limited-edition Silver Sky models. Each Silver Sky Defender also comes in an ATA molded case with a custom “DEFENDER” badge and features a unique neck plate inscribed with its color name and “1 of 500,” marking its place in this limited run.
Underneath these new colors is the Silver Sky players know: an instrument developed by John Mayer and PRS around the sound, feel, and response of the vintage guitars that inspired it, refined through PRS design and craftsmanship. Color has always been part of the Silver Sky story. This time, the inspiration was parked a little closer to home.

Orders that may incur a shipping surcharge:
- Large and Heavy items (Large Amps and Cabinets, Pianos, Drum Kits)
- Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you. Please feel free to contact us prior to checkout for more information.
Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.
Tracking Your Order Tracking details will be emailed to you as soon as your order has been processed for shipping. If you are having trouble tracking your order, please feel free to contact us for assistance!
Returns Procedure

Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
