Djembes produce a wide range of sounds and are ideal as a solo instrument or as part of a large percussion ensemble or drum circle. Pearl’s Top Tune Djembe series includes two different size drums;12” and 14” that produce a thunderous low-end punch. Pearl’s top tuning mechanism simplifies the tuning process and makes changing heads a breeze.
Traditional djembes are roped tuned and that tuning method requires considerable experience. Pearl's Top Tuned djembes make tuning your drum easy with a hoop and lug system that works like other acoustic drums. The tuning wrench is included with the drum. The Top Tuned djembes feature a synthetic head designed to resist detuning from moisture and temperature changes. The bottom edge of the drum is protected by a rubber rim.
Care Guide: Pearl Top Tune Djembe drums feature a synthetic shell that is subject to react to extremely hot conditions. Refrain from prolonged exposure to temperatures at or above 122°F / 50°C. Failure to do so may result in damage to the instrument. For the utmost care, we recommend a moderate stable climate suitable for humans.

Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.

Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.
Tracking Your Order Tracking details will be emailed to you as soon as your order has been processed for shipping. If you are having trouble tracking your order, please feel free to contact us for assistance!
Returns Procedure
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. Please see the full policy for conditions, exemptions and procedures. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
