The Martin 000-17 is a fresh addition to the Standard Series lineup, blending classic design with modern refinements for enhanced tone, playability, and style.
This 14-fret 000 model boasts a solid mahogany satin-finished body, delivering that warm, woody tone you’d expect from a handcrafted, mahogany Martin. What sets the new 000-17 apart are new refinements, such as a traditional compound dovetail neck joint and Sitka spruce Golden Era (GE) top bracing, as featured on the Modern Deluxe Series, which offers a more vintage, breathy tone. Playability enhancements like a thinner fingerboard with a gently beveled comfort edge and refined string spacing elevate the player experience.
The satin-finished select hardwood neck, with its shorter scale length, ebony fingerboard, and vintage-inspired GE modified low oval profile, is a dream for players who crave fast, effortless playability. Other details like a sleeker heel and ebony bridge with smoother, comfortable corners only add to this guitar’s timeless look and feel. Due to constraints surrounding the procurement of old-growth Sitka spruce, Martin Guitar will allow the use of Lutz spruce in combination with Sitka spruce as needed.
Martin will be utilising both Sitka and Lutz spruce throughout their line of instruments. This will allow Martin to continue to provide the best quality spruce tops while meeting the significant demand for our products.
Lutz spruce is a naturally occurring hybrid of Sitka spruce and white spruce and grows in the same geographical areas as Sitka spruce. Lutz also has similar tonal and visual characteristics compared to Sitka spruce.
Models affected: All models that currently utilise Sitka spruce.
Shipping Policy
Orders that may incur a shipping surcharge:
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you. Please feel free to contact us prior to checkout for more information.
Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.
Tracking Your Order Tracking details will be emailed to you as soon as your order has been processed for shipping. If you are having trouble tracking your order, please feel free to contact us for assistance!
Returns Procedure
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. Please see the full policy for conditions, exemptions and procedures. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
