The Latin Percussion Matador M1406M Stave Tumba Cajon combines a rounded Tumba-style body with the responsive playing feel of a traditional cajon. Its stave-constructed mango wood shell and tapered poplar playing surface deliver deep bass notes and clear slap tones, making it a versatile percussion instrument for acoustic performances and percussion setups. The enlarged lower body supports bass resonance, while the narrower upper section provides a responsive playing area for higher-pitched accents.
Designed for comfortable playing and practical performance, this cajon features rounded upper edges and a textured seating surface for added comfort and stability. A rear sound port supports bass projection and provides access for microphone placement. Finished in Mahogany Stain, the Matador Stave Tumba Cajon combines distinctive styling with a versatile range of percussive sounds. Please note that Mahogany Stain refers to the finish; the shell is made from mango wood and the playing surface is poplar.
