The Kentville Drums 16-inch Heavy Kangaroo Hide Drum Head delivers the raw, full-bodied warmth and natural character that can be absent from plastic drumheads. Suited to jazz, orchestral, folk and contemporary performers, this genuine kangaroo hide drumhead is easy to tune, melodic and responsive, with a natural tonal response free from troublesome overtones.
With a Heavy thickness of approximately 12–14 mil, this drumhead offers a balance of sensitivity, warmth and durability. Each hide is carefully selected and examined before being cut and thinned to the required thickness. The precisely sized hide is then hand-lapped to an aluminium flesh hoop before being placed on a mould to dry and form a collar for a comfortable fit.
Kentville Drums uses traditional drumhead-making techniques inspired by the craftsmanship of the past, including methods used for the snares of drummer boys during the Napoleonic wars. After several days of forming, each drumhead is removed from its mould, individually inspected and given a unique serial number before being sealed for protection during transit. The result is a handmade natural-hide drumhead combining traditional craftsmanship with the needs of today's drummers.

Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.

Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.

Returns Procedure
- Read the full Returns Policy HERE To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
