The UB's design (34” scale length) allows for a smooth transition from bass guitar to this particular upright. Its conical compound fingerboard radius perfectly facilitates smooth bowing and fast plucking. The compact Maple body was designed to balance form and function, resulting in a bass that provides outstanding visuals and incredible playability. Despite its compact body, the UB does not sacrifice acoustic tone, projecting a robust natural sound. The smaller body also allows for quick and easy transport.
For more than 40 years, Ibanez has pioneered new frontiers in bass development, pushing the boundaries of conventional designs to bass players of all styles, affording new avenues of expression and creativity. This spirit of exploration has led to the creation of some of the most successful and popular production basses of all time. Following this same drive to bring new and relevant ideas to the musical forefront is what serves as the basis for this ongoing project, dubbed the Ibanez Bass Workshop. The impetus behind each one of these unique instruments comes from a desire by the Ibanez bass development team to satisfy the particular needs of many players. - Jatoba has a reddish brown color and produces a rich mid range with a crisp high end.
- The Maple wing body offers a bright and clear sound.
- The custom bridge contains the magic of the AeroSilk Piezo system to provide that sense of ”air” that characterizes upright sound.
- The Piezo active tone control was designed for the AeroSilk Piezo.
- The AeroSilk MR5 bridge has unique saddles which are specifically designed to work in concert with the piezo pickups to enhance the acoustic ”upright” quality of the tone. It is customed perfectly for both finger / bow play style.
- A padded gig bag can carry everything in it, including the bass itself, bow and stand.
- TAMA® Roadpro stand custom for Upright included.

- We offer FREE Shipping on most orders over $199!
Orders that may incur a shipping surcharge:
- Large and Heavy items (Large Amps and Cabinets, Pianos, Drum Kits)
- Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you. Please feel free to contact us prior to checkout for more information.
Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.
Tracking Your Order Tracking details will be emailed to you as soon as your order has been processed for shipping. If you are having trouble tracking your order, please feel free to contact us for assistance!
Returns Procedure
- Read the full Returns Policy HERE To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. Please see the full policy for conditions, exemptions and procedures. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
