The Ibanez RGD Series Electric Guitar is available now at Sky Music Australia. Purpose-built as Ibanez's ultimate metal machine, the RGD is optimized for the heavy demands of down-tuning. Extending the scale length by one inch to 26.5", it delivers rich, defined low-end responsiveness while maintaining a fast, comfortable neck feel for speed soloing and extra-deep cutaways for effortless high-fret access.
Crafted with a solid Okoume body for bright, punchy resonance, this model features a 5-piece Maple/Walnut Wizard III neck paired with a 15.75"-radius ebony fingerboard, offset ring inlays, and 24 jumbo frets. Sonically, it is armed with active multi-voice Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers—an Alnico in the neck position and a Ceramic in the bridge—controlled via a push/pull Voicing switch on the master volume knob to instantly flip from searing active high-output drive to crisp, fluid cleans. Complete with a Gibraltar Standard III bridge, locking tuners, gold hardware, and luminescent side dots, it comes factory-tuned in D standard (1D, 2A, 3F, 4C, 5G, 6D).
Features
- Extended 26.5" Scale Length: Adds optimal string tension and low-end definition for down-tuning without sacrificing fast playability.
- Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers: Features a Ceramic bridge and Alnico neck pickup with push/pull volume voicing control for dual active voices.
- Wizard III 5-Piece Maple/Walnut Neck: Thin, flat, and fast neck profile reinforced for rock-solid stability and rapid playability.
- Ebony Fingerboard with Jumbo Frets: 24 jumbo frets on a smooth ebony fretboard offer tight low-end response, crisp attack, and effortless string bends.
- Gibraltar Standard III Bridge & Gold Hardware: Solid hardtail bridge paired with locking tuners ensures rock-solid tuning stability and maximum sustain.
- Luminescent Side Dots: Glow-in-the-dark position markers provide clear fretboard navigation on dark stages.
