The legacy of the “King of the Flat-Tops” from Gibson lives on in the SJ-200™ Standard. From its inaugural appearance in 1937, the Gibson SJ-200 set an unmatched standard in looks and sound. It now comes equipped with the Gibson-exclusive, custom-voiced Baggs™ HiFi DNA™ pickup system, delivering the guitar’s bold voice and every nuance of your playing with exceptional realism when amplified.
Embraced by everyone from singing cowboy-movie and TV stars and country superstars to folk and rock legends, the SJ-200 has been heard on countless recordings and seen on stages worldwide for decades. It continues the legacy of the world’s most famous acoustic guitar and makes a sonic and visual statement like no other instrument ever made.
The SJ-200 Standard features a back and sides crafted from gorgeous AAA figured maple, paired with a solid Sitka spruce top for a bold sound with excellent projection. The gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish is a striking complement to the gold hardware and ornate SJ-200 appointments. The two-piece maple neck features a walnut stringer for style and strength, a comfortable Round profile, and a bound rosewood fretboard equipped with 20 standard frets and adorned with mother-of-pearl graduated crown inlays—one of the visual hallmarks of this iconic acoustic guitar.
The bound headstock is ornamented with the Gibson logo and crown, both inlaid in mother of pearl. High-quality, gold Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners work in harmony with a low-friction TUSQ® nut to ensure smooth, solid tuning. The body features the iconic SJ-200 pickguard and a two-bar Moustache™ bridge made of rosewood, another readily identifiable feature that distinguishes the SJ-200. It is equipped with a TUSQ saddle and bridge pins.
Inside, the SJ-200 Standard is now equipped with the all-new Gibson-exclusive Baggs™ HiFi DNA™ pickup system. This active system uses two lightweight sensors mounted on the internal bridge plate. The sensors are matched with optimized individual preamps to deliver full-bodied, amplified acoustic tone that lets the guitar’s character and personality come through when amplified, with no impact on the unamplified tone. The Baggs HiFi DNA system offers comparable gain-before-feedback to an under-saddle pickup. The system also includes soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls that are quick and easy to access while playing, and all but invisible to your audience.
A Gibson hardshell case is also included, so the SJ-200 Standard is ready to join you on stage, in the studio, or wherever the road takes you.

Orders that may incur a shipping surcharge:
- Large and Heavy items (Large Amps and Cabinets, Pianos, Drum Kits)
- Delivery to Remote/ Rural Areas
Customers outside of Australian Metro areas please be advised that we cannot offer free shipping on bulky items to certain rural areas.
If this applies to your order we will be in contact ASAP after checkout. This may result in a partial shipping cost after checkout or orders being refunded and cancelled due to our usual courier services being unable to service certain rural areas.
We apologise in advance if this affects you. Please feel free to contact us prior to checkout for more information.
Drop Ship Orders Drop ship orders are shipped directly from our Australian based suppliers. Please allow for 1-2 extra business days for drop ship orders to be dispatched.
Delivery Time Orders are dispatched within 1 -2 business days and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive within Australia. If for any reason there may be a delay, we will contact you within 2 business days. Delivery times may take longer for rural/ remote areas.
If you have any concerns, or require an item to be delivered by a certain date, please contact us so that we can try our best help you receive your order on time.

Returns Procedure
- Read the full Returns Policy HERE To initiate a return please provide the requested information in the "Returns & Exchanges Form". We will get back to you as possible with a Return Authorisation and instructions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will be in contact to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, we will process the return as a refund, exchange or store credit as quickly as possible.
30-Day Returns Policy Here at Sky Music, we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your new product for any reason you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. For metro-Melbourne orders we charge a flat rate of $18 for change of mind swaps and exchanges & returns and staff will advise for interstate, rural and Victorian areas outside of the metro-Melbourne area.
