The Epiphone Limited Edition Marcus King El Dorado Acoustic-Electric Guitar pays tribute to the legendary instrument that holds a special place in Marcus King's musical journey. Inspired by the vintage El Dorado that was King's first-ever guitar, this limited-edition model combines classic 1970s Epiphone character with modern construction, stage-ready electronics and distinctive personal details inspired by the GRAMMY-nominated artist.
Built with a solid spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides, the Marcus King El Dorado delivers a warm, resonant acoustic voice that develops greater depth and character as the instrument ages. Its square-shoulder dreadnought design provides powerful projection and balanced response, while the mahogany neck features a comfortable Rounded C profile, 25.5" scale length and rosewood fingerboard for a familiar playing feel.
The vintage-inspired appointments continue throughout the instrument, including a 70s MIJ-inspired headstock, mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo, rounded-corner block fingerboard inlays and a custom pickguard based on King's original El Dorado. The rosewood belly-down bridge features a compensated bone saddle and custom inlays depicting the outline of South Carolina and Tennessee's Tri-Star emblem, celebrating King's roots.
For amplified performance, the Marcus King El Dorado is equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element Bronze VTC under-saddle pickup and preamp, with discreet volume and tone controls positioned at the edge of the soundhole. Each guitar includes a hardshell case featuring a custom Marcus King signature graphic.
