The Thomastik-Infeld Infeld Blue IB01 (DTIB01) violin E-string delivers a brilliant, focused tone with outstanding projection and instantaneous bow response. Engineered as part of the acclaimed Infeld system, this string is designed to enhance clarity, brightness, and upper-register presence while blending harmoniously with composite and synthetic core setups.
Constructed with a premium carbon steel core and a protective tin-plated outer surface, the IB01 ensures smooth left-hand playability, excellent tuning stability, and corrosion resistance. It features a brass removable ball end (RB) accented with distinctive blue silk winding at both ends, allowing it to adapt effortlessly to instruments equipped with either ball-end or loop-end fine tuners.
Calibrated in medium gauge for full-size 4/4 violins with a standard vibrating string length of 32.5 cm (12.8"), the IB01 operates at a tension of 8.0 kg (17.6 lb), providing an ideal balance of bow resistance, dynamic headroom, and tonal focus.
