What Is New in the Fender American Professional Refresh?

Fender has rebuilt the American Professional line with 10 models: Stratocaster, Stratocaster HSS, Telecaster, Hotshot Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Precision Bass, Precision Bass V, Jazz Bass and Jazz Bass V. Every model gets new V-Mod III pickups, redesigned bridges and ClassicGear Precision Potentiometers. The guitars also have Push-Push tone controls and a Deluxe molded case.

Necks, Bridges and Pickups

The guitars have a Deep C neck with rolled edges. The Precision Bass has a Medium C neck and the Jazz Bass has a Slim C neck, also with rolled edges. The Stratocaster uses ClassicGear Radial bent-steel saddles. The Telecaster has a top-load or string-through bridge with compensated brass bullet saddles. The Jazzmaster and Jaguar get the ClassicGear J-Bridge with a Panorama tremolo, and the basses use the HiMass Modern Bridge. The Hotshot Telecaster adds a V-Mod III Strat pickup in the middle with 5-way switching. The Jaguar has a 24 inch short scale, bridge tap and Rhythm Circuit, and the Jazzmaster has a tap function and Rhythm Circuit.
