Why Choose Yamaha Acoustic Drum Kits?

With decades of drum-making expertise, Yamaha has pioneered innovations like the YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounts and Absolute lugs for superior resonance and stability. From the warm sustain of Tour Custom Maple to the punchy lows of Stage Custom Birch, their shells, made of birch or maple, offer unique tonal qualities.

Stage Custom Birch Series

The Stage Custom Birch is perfect for live gigs, with 100% birch shells and rounded bearing edges for powerful projection. The YESS tom mounts reduce shell contact to maintain tonal integrity across rack and floor toms. With a setup featuring a 20" bass drum and a 14" snare, it provides a sharp, articulate sound appropriate for genres like rock, jazz, and pop.

Tour Custom Maple Series

The Tour Custom Maple features 6-ply maple shells with satin finishes to create a balanced, lively tone. It is popular for studio sessions because of its inverse DynaHoops and 45-degree bearing edges, which tighten overtones. This series, which comes in 16"–15" floor toms and 22"–16" bass drums, fits perfectly with any genre.

Rydeen Series for Beginners

The Rydeen 5-piece kit provides an affordable option with poplar shells and Yamaha’s P3 bass drum head for controlled resonance. Built with genuine Yamaha hardware, including tom clamps and a pipe clamp, it offers durability for practice sessions or smaller performances.
