These guitars are built for shredders and house every appointment to take you into hyper speed.
WHAT IS A SO-CAL STYLE? Good question! Charvel have some interesting names for their styles that may be a bit hard to understand for a younger player, especially living in Australia. So let's get an understanding of what a So-Cal style means and if it's right for you.
In the late 1970's in Southern California (So-Cal), this model of Charvel Superstrat was making it's rounds. It was easily identifiable by its pickguard and double-locking Floyd Rose bridge. These guitars also feature a Charvel Speed Neck with rolled fingerboard edges for a super comfortable and 70s feel.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO NEW MODELS? Both these new So-Cal models are identical besides the colour and the fretboard. If you are unfamiliar with the tonal difference, maple fretboards have a well defined top end and give a warm and bright tone whereas ebony fretboards also share a super sharp top end but feature a balanced low end as well which provides a crisp attack.
