Fender Custom Shop

Colour:  Faded Nocaster Blonde

This latest creation from the geniuses at custom shop Corona, California is nothing less than spectacular.  This axe really sings. We were lucky enough to pick this one up at the NAMM show.

With its origins steeped in an important historical story for the Fender guitar company.   This cool guitar once called the "Broadcaster" released in 1950 whipped up quite a storm. However in 1951 Gretsch contacted Fender to notify of a possible copyright infringement relating to the trademarked "Broadcaster" name.  A line of drums for the Gretsch company.   Leo Fender in turn ordered the removal of the "Broadcaster" from their headstocks.  As these new modern player guitars were released with just Fender on the headstock.  Fans and players in time shaped the name of a legend the "NoCaster".

This faithful recreation features a lightweight ash body, Nocaster "U" profile neck of quarter sawn maple, vintage spec hardware, custom shop hand wound pickups.  Most importantly the vintage vibe of a well played in heavy relic finish.  This Tele is....something else.
